 Image Quality in Presenter

You may find that some graphics and other visual elements become blurry, lose resolution, or become unreadable when publishing your Presenter course-
images that looked fine on the PowerPoint slide.

Here's a few suggestions which may improve the image quality:

  • In PowerPoint, select "Preferences" from the Adobe Presenter drop-down menu. Click the "Quality" tab, select "High" for the Image Quality and click "Close". Then re-publish your course and see if the graphics look better.

  • If you're inserting graphics into PowerPoint, then the best format for them is as .PNG files. (PNG-24 if the option is available). JPGs can lose resolution when published in Presenter courses.

  • In general, look at your font sizes and color combinations to maximize contrast and readability. Presenter converts the PowerPoint slide to a Flash movie and in doing so, can adjust/anti-alias the fonts- this can contribute to the loss of readability and is why the certain elements look different in the PPT file than it does when published.

  • With screenshots, another good thing is to think about if there's a specific part of the screen you can focus on, rather than including the entire screenshot. This would allow you to show a closer-up, cropped version of the specific area of interest.
